L’association

La Menuiserie is an association founded in 2013 by several young artists who graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Paris (ENSBA), federated around a project to transform the old carpentry workshop into artist studios. In 2014 and 2015, the association welcomed five additional residents, from ENSBA, the Marseille School of Art and Design (ESADMM) and the Australian National University (ANU): Apolline Grivelet, Loren Chorley, Sinyoung Park, Nicolas Frémion and Marie Peuchet.

The association aims to enable emerging artists to develop their work with use of the shared premises, equipment and logistics. It promotes exchange and interaction, both between residents and in connection with their territory. We will soon organize exhibitions and events, and ultimately we would like to provide a summer residency program for artists.
