Dear friends of La Menuiserie,
For the last few years, we have been renovating this outstanding location in the hope of creating a centre for contemporary art.
Many of you have supported us in this difficult endeavour. Today the work is nearing its end and the end of the 2016 summer holidays marks the debut of our cultural program!
We officially invite you all to celebrate with us on this joyous occasion!
To start with, we will be welcoming the public for the European Patrimony days, the 17th and 18th of September. The guided visits will be starting at 2pm and 3pm.
We will also be participating in the regional event Invitations d’Artistes, for which we are opening our doors to the public from the 30th of September to the 9th of October, from 2pm to 5pm. During this time, several of our resident artists will be conducting introductory workshops for their disciplines:
Korean painting with Sinyoung Park, Sunday the 2nd of October at 2pm
Ceramic with Marion Richomme, Saturday the 8th of October at 2pm
Wood printing with Apolline Grivelet, Sunday the 9th of October at 2pm
Finally, we will be kicking off this occasion with our official inauguration for La Menuiserie on the evening of the 30th of September!

It’s been a very productive August at La Menuiserie where the renovation work has considerable advanced. The roofing of the primary workshop has been entirely replaced!
Soon the holidays and then the inauguration!

Our brand new website is now online!
From here we’ll be keeping you up to date with all our activities, events and communications. Created and maintained by Loren Chorley, our resident webmaster, this site currently has a number of pages of information about the residence and the renovations made here in recent years, as well as a brief introduction of our residents and our affiliations.
In the future, as our association continues to develop, we will be displaying editions created by our residents here, and also maintaining a section about our in-residence showcase gallery once it’s ready and the expositions that we will be putting on there.
